Friends actor Matthew Perry wants his old co-stars to appear in his new sitcom Mr Sunshine but not until season three.

The actor, who played Chandler Bing in the long-running comedy show, admits he would be keen for Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow to make guest appearances in an upcoming series of Mr Sunshine, Absolute Now online reported.

“People ask a lot about guest stars but we’re a little bit early for that. There’s a lot of talk about will I ask some of my former cast mates to be on the show, and I think ultimately, yes. In the third season then maybe some of them can come back,” he said.

However, the 40-year-old star is determined to make his new programme, which he stars in and created, a success on his own.

“I don’t want to use them as sort of a launching pad,” Perry added.

In the show, Perry plays sports arena manager Ben Donavan, who has a mid-life crisis when he turns 40.

Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have hatched a plan to reunite the cast of Friends!

Cox says she and Aniston have an idea to get Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc — and, of course, themselves — back in front of a camera.

“We’ve got a good idea. There is a good way to get us all together,” Courteney told Fox News.

“Jennifer told me, or someone told her, or she came up with the idea herself. I don’t think it will ever happen, but it would be a great way to get us all together!”

Reports earlier this week claimed Aniston would be teaming up with Cox for Scream 4.

Scream has always been an important part of Courteney’s life, and she wanted Jennifer to be a part of the production,” an insider told Star magazine.

Almost six years after Ross, Rachel and the gang said their final good-byes on one of the most successful television sitcoms in primetime history, Jennifer Aniston now thinks that a “Friends” reunion on the big screen wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

The only problem is, the former Rachel Green doesn’t think fans will be lining up at the box office to see her reprise the one role that made her a household name.

According to Showbiz Spy, Aniston says: “It could work and I don’t think it would be a bad thing but I’m still to be convinced the fans want it or people in general would pay to see it.”

She continued: “I know the other guys feel the same.  We are all so proud of the show and what we achieved.  We don’t want to go and spoil that with a movie unless we know it’s right.”

Taking that chance wouldn’t be such a bad idea for the former “Friends” cast.  Sarah Jessica Parker and the “Sex and the City” gang jumped from the television screen to movie theaters in 2008 with a number one hit at the box office.  Aside from Aniston and actress Courtney Cox, the rest of the cast, which included Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry, have all seen their careers move more backwards than forward since the series ended in 2004.

Meanwhile, Aniston can next be seen opposite Gerard Butler in the comedy, “The Bounty Hunter” which hits theaters this week.
